Nearing the Halfway Point

150 days to go! What have Daddy and Mommy done to get ready? Not a whole lot, but the nursery was painted weeks ago and it is ready for baby furniture. I'm not sure where to start with the shopping. We do have coupons for diapers and since we just read that we will need ~600 diapers for the first 6 weeks, that is probably a good place to start.

  1. A suggestion if I may...don't go overboard on buying too much "newborn-sized" stuff. You can't really know how little or big baby will be until she arrives, and we found that most newborn-sized things were already too small for our little guys. If I remember correctly, we didn't use newborn diapers for very long and moved up a size. Same with clothes, the 0-3 month stuff was outgrown right away. It seemed that clothes were always sized kind of small. Don't hesitate to ask about anything, that's what we're here for! Looking forward to seeing your baby regsitry. :)

  3. Jo, thanks for the advice. We did read that baby's rarely use newborn sizes in diapers and clothes. It's good to get confirmation from a real mom. =) I'm going to be asking you a lot of registry questions soon, so be prepared. hehe

Lesia, thank you so much for the Winnie the Pooh painting. I cannot wait to see it. As for the easel, I'm excited about that too. I didn't realize that you didn't have one. An artist NEEDS an easel!
